Lattice solitons on a standing carrier wave

We consider a nonlinear lattice of the Klein—Gordon type analysing envelope solitons created on a standing carrier wave. In particular, we show that nonlinear wavesofsuch a kind are described by a system of two coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations and we find a new class of its solutions which describe bound states of two dark-profile solitons. As particular cases, this solution includes nonlinear localized structures in the form of the so-called cut-off or noncut-off kinks. We also discuss the existence and properties of nonlinear waves at the zero of the second-order dispersion of the linear spectrum for the cases of moving and standing carrier waves.
